Dress for Success-Boston Fashion Week

On October 7, 2014 I had the pleasure of being part of the hair and makeup team for Denise Hajjar's fashion show at Club Royal for Boston Fashion Week. 



I worked with Ashley Karlson Hair & Makeup as the hair stylist for this event. The evening's show was to benefit Dress For Success Boston and pay tribute to this amazing woman, Denise Hajjar, being in her 30th year as a resident designer. Dress For Success is such a wonderful program designed to help disadvantaged women, who have encountered difficulties as they enter or reenter the job market, find professional opportunities. DFS provides women with proper attire for an interview as well as a follow up with a personal shopper to build a professional wardrobe. Denise Hajjar donated a percentage of all items sold at the fashion show to DSF Boston. 
       A few of Boston's elite women were in attendance that evening to participate as "celebrity models " including Janet Wu, Linda Holiday, Yolanda Cellucci, Charlotte Richie, Simone Winston, and Tiziana Dearing. Heather Unruh, a local news anchor, also dedicated her time between shifts to emcee the show. I was honored to be among such powerfully inspiring women as well as to play a part in making this night a big success. 
      All in all the night was a whirlwind of incredible fashions and talented women. Denise put on such an amazing event for Boston Fashion weeks 20th year. Let us applaud her success and be ever inspired by her passion.
